A Leader is Born…the Middleton Group emerges - Two Brothers, One Dream

The year was 1952. Two brothers, Bob and Jim Middleton decided to embark on a journey together. It was the era of the retail boom: the economy was growing and retailers were doing brisk business.

With keen insight, the two brothers soon identified a need in the retail industry; a need for high quality retail signage. Operating out of a small rented room at Sherbourne & King in Toronto, Middleton Advertising was born.

With carefully hand crafted cards they won their first customer – Proctor & Gamble. The demand was overwhelming; their expectations exceeded. Business began to grow– one customer after another, one sign after the other. Bob and Jim were well on their way to building a strong and reputable company. Eventually, they outgrew their small shop operation moving to a 1500 sq. ft. warehouse loft on Carlaw Avenue in Toronto.

Today with over 100 employees and over 100,000 square feet of administration, production and warehousing, Middleton Group has evolved! We have become synonymous with state-of-the art printing technologies, innovative Point of Purchase displays, large format screen and digital graphics, edgy designs, high impact retail fixtures and above all – exceptional customer service.
